Bone aching 3 months after ex fix

Hi All.

When I experienced my tpf in mid May, I was placed in an external fixation for a week waiting for surgery.

It’s now about three months, and have been experiencing bone pain at the sites of the drill holes where the ex fix connected to my leg. The sites themselves are healed up (scarring of course), but as far as ex fixes go, the contraption was non-eventful.

Anyone experience this?

Yes, they feel very much like shin splints.

I fell into the black hole of tibia plateau in June and I have also been experiencing bone pain from the external fixation hole in the sin area. It feels like shin splints….haven’t been weight bearing yet was hoping it would be better after that
